“We go through life. We shed our skins.
We become ourselves.”

– Patti Smith

The spark was first ignited during my time living in Paris when a chance encounter with a Buddhist traveller triggered a lifelong interest in yoga as a practice and a way of life. At around the same time, I also discovered the art of collage which unleashed a creative freedom in myself that I hadn’t experienced before. I didn’t realise it at the time but the two were inextricably connected.

When I returned to London, I continued to practice both art forms with a growing sense of curiosity, weaving them through the fabric of my life as much as I could. I experimented with different styles and schools of yoga under the tutelage of varied teachers and I created collages which took different forms – art festivals, bespoke commissions and life itself.

But it wasn’t until a period of ill health, that I truly understood the healing power of yoga and collage. Forced to slow down and look within, these forms created a sanctuary where I was able to renew, connect and come home to myself.

Yoga and collage have been a big part of my life for over 20 years.

I quickly realised both practices fed one other. Yoga tapped into the physical, psychological, physiological, emotional, and spiritual to expose and release what was no longer serving me. Collage released a creative energy that expressed what I couldn’t express in any other way. Together they allowed me to shed layers, slowly revealing a deeper, truer version of myself. Yoga drew me in, collage drew me out. It was a liberating process of integration.

Today I am committed to helping others come home to themselves by sharing what I’ve learnt along the way. I do so by teaching yoga from the heart, creating a safe and sacred environment for my students to connect with their most authentic selves. I teach from the tranquillity of a garden yurt in the beautiful Hampshire countryside. When I’m not teaching, the yurt becomes an art studio where I make collages inspired by the world around me and within me. I offer the option of collage-making to my students during yoga retreats, giving them the possibility to access their inner artist.

Creative, empowering, and accessible, both yoga and collage are geared towards a process of absorption in the now.
